In the appendices, survey stations are typically referred to by their Permanent Identifier (PID). This is a unique naming system used by the National Geodetic Survey (NGS). With a PID number, you may search the NGS databases for all available information on that station. The NGS web interface allows searches that can be based on either latitude and longitude, or based on the PID numbers. Please take advantage of this NGS resource to access additional and more detailed information.
